Itinerary:

Day 1

  • Arrival at the airport - Liszt Ferenc International Airport - Budapest, Hungary.
  • Rest and dinner at the hotel in the center of Budapest, before tomorrow's tour.

Day 2

  • Tasty breakfast, packing, traveling to Slovakia.
  • The first stop of our trip is the UNESCO city of Slovakia, Banská Štiavnica. Over the centuries, the town of Banská Štiavnica was visited by many outstanding engineers and scientists who contributed to its fame. The old medieval mining centre grew into a town with Renaissance palaces, 16th-century churches, elegant squares and castles. The urban centre blends into the surrounding landscape, which contains vital relics of the mining and metallurgical activities of the past.

  • After a tour of the city and cultural monuments, we will have a tasty lunch in a traditional mining restaurant.
  • Our next stop is the city of Kremnica. Kremnica is a beautiful place in central Slovakia. The town is situated in the foothills of the Kremnické Vrchov. It is famous for its developed mining industry and a glorious historical past. Kremnica was once considered the richest settlement not only in the region not only in the region, but in the whole Europe. It used to enjoy the status of a free mining town in the Hungarian kingdom. The settlement obtained privileges of the free royal and mining borough from King Charles Robert in 1328. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country and Europe.

Day 3

  • Tasty breakfast, packing, traveling.
  • We will visit a castle in the north of Slovakia - Ľubovňa Castle. The castle was built at the turn of the 13th – 14th century. The first written mention dates back to 1311. In 1412, King Sigismund of Hungary and King Władysław Jagiellon of Poland met at the castle and signed an agreement of friendship and peace. At the end of the same year, Ľubovňa Castle became part of the Spiš advance for the next 360 years. During the Swedish-Polish War of 1655-1661, the Polish crown jewels were hidden in the castle.

  • Our next stop: traditional wooden rafts on the Dunajec river. A trip to the Dunajec Gorge (canyon of the Dunajec river) is one of the most beautiful in Slovakia. It starts in Červený Kláštor, continues to the mouth of the Lesnický potok and further along the right bank of the meandering Dunajec. The river passes through the National Nature Reserve of Prielom Dunajca.

  • Lunch in a traditional "Goral" restaurant.
  • After lunch, we will taste the most delicious chocolate of this region, at the Nestville Park chocolate factory. Anyone who wants can taste whiskey in their factory.

  • Our last stop for today, Kežmarok. The town Kežmarok in region Spiš has been always the centre of education in the region and the starting point for trips in the High Tatras. Kežmarok is one of towns with the long and famous history. Its position below the Tatras makes it one of the centres of both the summer and winter holiday.

Day 4

  • Tasty breakfast, packing, traveling.
  • The first stop of today's trip is the crown of the Carpathians Mountains, the High Tatras. We will visit the high mountain part of Hrebienok (1,285m). Is a very popular tourist destination in the High Tatras. The oldest tourist centre Starý Smokovec is a significant crossing station of the town of Vysoké Tatry. From the settlement of Starý Smokovec one can easily get to Hrebienok. Take a funicular from Starý Smokovec to the altitude of 1,272 m and enjoy the same feeling as Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. could when she visited the High Tatras. It takes 7 minutes only to surmount a vertical drop of 255 m. A small walk in the national park.

  • Lunch in a traditional "Tatras" restaurant, in the oldest tourist centre Starý Smokovec.
  • At the end of the day, we will relax in the nearby thermal park - Vrbov Thermal Park.

Day 5

  • Tasty breakfast, packing, traveling.
  • The first stop of our trip is the UNESCO city of Slovakia, Levoča. The historic town Levoča, situated in the east of the Spiš region, is a true cultural and historic jewel, it possesses a great number of architectural monuments linked with the glorious past of the town. The community, thriving on its advantageous position on the trade route Via Magna, rapidly grew into a town with several privileges. Levoča became one of the main centres of the Renaissance and humanism in Old Hungary.

  • After saying goodbye to the north of Slovakia, we will visit the second largest city of this country, Košice.

  • Lunch in the oldest medieval restaurant in the center of Košice.

  • After a tasty lunch, we discover the beauty of the city. Košice is not only the centre of eastern Slovakia but also the core of the Eastern Carpathians where several ethnicities live. On the Hornád river on the western edge of the Košická kotlina basins has a long and agitated history and its present is also dynamic. It has been the most important town of the region for centuries and a natural centre of trade, culture, and education.

Day 6

  • Tasty breakfast, packing, traveling.
  • The first place to visit in the Gemer region is the historic mansion, The manor house Betliar. The east of Slovakia, is the fairy tale-like two-storied manor house Betliar with four corner towers. It is a stately hunting manor surrounded by a wonderful English park with romantic structures including an artificial cave and waterfall. Its interior is equally interesting, as it contains a picture gallery, music and hunting halls, a library, antique furniture and exotic collections. Its reconstruction won a EUROPA NOSTRA award. The stately manor house the history of which is associated with the noble family of Andrássy was built in the 17th - 18th century.

  • Lunch in the manor park.
  • The last stop of our tour in Slovakia, is a beautiful cave Ochtinská Aragonite Cave. Ochtinská Aragonite Cave represents a unique natural phenomenon drawing attention by the richness and variety of aragonite fill, as well as an interesting evolution and development of cave spaces. 

  • In the evening we will arrive at the hotel in Budapest. Rest and dinner at the hotel in the center of Budapest, Hungary.

Day 7

  • Tasty breakfast, packing.
  • According to the agreement, we will organize a beautiful tour of the capital of Hungary, Budapest.

  • Flight home.

  • You can apply for the trip by filling out the order form here. After filling out and uploading the form send it. Our system will send a feedback within 24 hours.
  • After our confirmation, the Travel fee must be paid in one sum, until the 36th day before the trip. Payment can be made by bank transfer, bank branch payment, or by clicking the "Add to cart" = "Kosárba" button (bank card payment).

  • Your order is completed by sending the order form, then confirming it and paying the Travel fee. After placing the order, you will receive the invoice and we will conclude the Travel Contract. After the Travel Contract has been sent to the e-mail address you provided, print out its signature sheet and return it signed (jpg, pdf, png) to our e-mail address: cooltour.sk@gmail.com. Your reservation will be considered final after sending the signed sheet.

Travel insurance: The basic price does not include travel insurance, but it is recommended.

Transport: Private Air-Conditioned Vehicle for Transfers and Sightseeing.

Accommodation: Our group will be accommodated in modern hotels. In rooms with 2-3-4 beds, with bathrooms, (extra bed can also be requested). A single person in a twin bedroom is obliged to pay the full price of the room.

Meals: Full board included: breakfast, lunch, dinner. Vegetarian, lactose-, dairy- and gluten free breakfast is available, please indicate your request in advance on the application form. (Some hotels have their own kitchen with a mini bar.) Other meals during the tour are at your own expense.

The price includes all tickets: Banská Štiavnica - Underground Mining Museum, Kremnica - Town castle, Dunajec river - Wooden rafts, Stará Ľubovňa Castle, Kežmarok - Wooden articular church and New Evangelical church, Thermal Park Vrbov - 4 hours, Hrebienok - funicular, Levoča - Basilica of St. James, Košice - The Cathedral of St. Elizabeth, Betliar - Manor house, Ochtinská Aragonite Cave.


Difficulty of the tour: The program includes shorter tours of the city, the length and height of which do not stand out, the terrain can be slippery in places in rainy weather. It is important to dress appropriately in the caves: The artificial tunnel into the cave is 144 m long and overcomes the vertical distance of 19 metres with 104 steps. The total length of the show path in cave is 300 m, air temperature reaches 7,2º to 7,8ºC. Cave visit lasts 30 minutes.

Recommended personal equipment: We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the weather in the northern part of Slovakia is very changeable, so in the days before the trip, pay attention to the weather forecasts and prepare your clothing according to the expected weather. We recommend the use of closed and comfortable flat shoes, as well as warmer clothing, especially when visiting caves, and waterproof clothing during the rafting trip. It is recommended to take a small backpack for the walks (approx. 20 litters). 

Age limit: The tour is recommended from the age of 15, but it provides an unforgettable experience for middle-aged and older people as well.

Health information: We recommend the purchase of general and proprietary medicines, as well as basic medical equipment (fever and pain reliever, antispasmodic, Anti-diarrheal medicine, Adhesive bandage, Wound disinfectant). Tour guides can only provide assistance in first aid, they are unable to provide medicines to the participants.


Statement: Since the weather can change during the trip, the tour guide of our office reserves the right to change the program in case of bad weather - rain, fog strong wind, poor visibility. This may mean changing the order of different attractions or tours, but in particularly bad weather (to protect the safety and health of the participants) they may be changed or even cancelled. In this case, we will try to organize some other program.


Currency: The official currency of Slovakia is the euro: / EUR.

Price guarantee: Our agency can guarantee the Travel fee for at least 35 passengers. If during the organization the number of the group does not reach the minimum number, our agency can cancel the trip 7 days before departure. In such a case, the Travel fee will be refunded in full or credited to another trip.
